Well, that has put this to bed... Dislocated and broken ankle, in 5 places, whilst playing football last night, with an operation next week...

To say I'm gutted would be an understatement...

Thx all for your advice... Will just have to be next summer now...

Quick update... Operation booked in for Tuesday, so looking forward to these rides next summer now... Gonna try and head out to Les Contamines in October as all, so maybe, just maybe I might be able to get some miles in then... But 4 months might be too soon still...

Thx all for the advice folks... Appreciated...
  • Just back from my trip to Les Contamines (decided to go anyhow despite my knackered foot, as it was all paid for), and made a trip over to Grand Bo... Had lunch then drove over the Col de la Colombiere ...

Have to say that the route up from Grand Bo looks decent but more than achievable, however, we drove down the other side and OMG... I think I dodged a bullet personally as that is the side I was planning to climb from... That's a pretty tough climb... Not quite sure what I was expecting, but don't think I would have been anywhere near fit enough to do that side... :-)

Good reccy trip anyhow so now I low what to expect, and prepare for, next summer...

Thx again for the advice guys.. Just 2 more weeks and I can start to slowly apply weight... (2 months on)

    #frustratedisanunderstatement ...
