HELP PLEASE! - sd card snapped

I downloaded today's ride from my Garmin 800 onto the sd card. Unfortunately, the sd card snapped so I can't get the data and it appears to have disappeared completely from the Garmin.
At my disposal I have my Garmin (computer won't recognise it!), a friend's Garmin (computer may recognise it but haven't tried yet), a friend's sd card and lots of cables and stuff.
Please, please, please, does anybody know if I can retrieve the data from either the Garmin or the very snapped sd card?
This was the 12th fifty mile ride in a charity challenge to do 50 miles every day for 50 consecutive days so, as you can imagine, I am pretty desperate to get the data onto Strava

Try this

If that doesn't work, there are companies on the www that may be able to help, but it will cost you
Good luck0 -
Only one of theUSB cables I have works with my Garmin 800, have you tried different cables? If the Garmin connectivity issue is due to corroded contacts you can buy a complete bottom section of the 800 with new contacts. Someone posted a link on here a few days ago to an eBay vendor who was selling them for £29 (I think). Both may give you access to the Garmin. I don't know if the original file will be there, mine stay on the Garmin after I've downloaded them until I actively delete them.
If all else fails, you may be able to clone a previous 50 mile ride and change the date in the file to trick Strava into thinking it is your 12th ride? I've never tried this, but apparantly the data can be messed with, cf digital EPO.0
