Shimano gear cable backwards compatbility

Probably a silly question but struggling to find any clear info anywhere and looking for help. I am currently putting my old ultegra 6600 levers onto to another winter hack/bad weather bike which is running dura-ace 7800. While I can find compatibility charts for levels, chains etc I cannot find any info on gear and brake cables.

Would these cable do the trick?
