Road bike hire near Portreath, Cornwall?

Anyone know where I might be able to hire a road bike near Portreath in Cornwall? I'm going there for a week end of July with the kids, so can't fit a bike in the car. I can see a place in Truro that hires hybrid bikes, but not "proper" bikes.

The best I managed to find was Porthleven cycle hire but all they had were Defy 5s, probably a little to far from your location though.

The nearest place is probably Elm Farm. This is up the valley towards Redruth and then about a mile after the 1st left heading toward Perranporth. Not sure what kind of bike they do. Most probably mountain as they are at the end of the minerals railway. Bissoe bike hire is near the other end. http://www.intocornwall.com/engine/busi ... .asp?id=55

Thanks for that - quite close and it is just MTBs. However that might be a better option...take the kids out with me for a spot of cycling
