Hi guys, I'm toying with the idea of buying a new road bike.

I currently have a Boardman Road Comp from 2010 I believe. Spec is as follows:
Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels
HG50 9-speed cassette with cheap chain
Truvativ Elita chainset
105 brakes, rear mech
Tiagra shifters, front mech
EA70 bars and stem

I have been thinking about the Planet X Pro Carbon Ultegra:

It's the same price as last year's but has FULL Ultegra. Last year's had cheaper brand brakes and chainset if I remember correctly.

As the Boardman is my first road bike, I was just wondering if people with more experience could answer a few questions. The reviews on the website are all five stars except a couple which could either be really good or mean that the worse reviews aren't published.

Would the upgrade be worth it?
Will I notice enough improvement?
Is the Planet X frame any good? I've read that it's pretty flexy for a carbon frame.
Any drawbacks to a "standard" external BB over a newer press-fit one?
I'll probably think of even more questions in a bit.

Cheers.

I bought one 4 years ago when they were selling it at about 1200 with Ultegra6700, at the time even at that price it was a cracking bike for the money. The current offer is also great but there's a lot more on offer now at that price. As for the frame being flexy, I haven't really noticed it, I'm sure there are stiffer frames out there but if you are just riding for fun, club runs, sportives etc you really won't notice. As for the bottom bracket, it's simple, easy to maintain and cheap to replace, it's fine.
