Electrical tape for retaining bars

Would homebase electrical tape be good enuf or is there a preferred brand?

    Do you mean bar tape if so I think mine came from B&Q, been on the bars for ages now and never budged.

    Its what I use. Just ordinary black electrical tape, with the supplied finishing tape wrapped over it.

    I allways use electrical tape, the stuff supplied is never enough.
