Is there a better Garmin 1000 deal?

I've been looking around for the best deal on the new Edge 1000, but most retailers seem to be quite content to sit with the full RRP.

I did find one that's running a couple of discount codes that seem to work, including one for %15 off, if you spend over 500. So that means adding something cheap, like a water bottle to the order, but it takes £75 off!
If you were going to get the head unit only, this means you could get the whole performance bundle for cheaper than the RRP of the head unit. Perhaps ebay will be awash with Edge 1000 performance monitoring gizmos after this....

Use code SATNAV10 for 10% off
Use code SAVE15PBK for 15% off (over £500)

Has anyone seen any better offers? It is a lot of money to fork out, and I've already got a trusty 800. (Which I'm thinking of passing on to my wife actually...)

This is the best deal I have seen. Looks like they won't be getting stock until mid-June though, but with 15% off, I think its worth the wait!

    Thanks for that link, i was not interested in the 1000 but have been indecisive about buying a 500 with HRM&cadence, the best i could find it for was for £186....i could not believe their deal, here's what i just bought;

The Garmin Edge 500 GPS/HRM/CAD Cycle Computer with SIS Nutrition Chocolate bundle contains:

The Garmin Edge 500 GPS/HRM/CAD Cycle Computer
Science in Sport Go Electrolyte 1.6kg Tub Blackcurrant
Science in Sport Rego Rapid Recovery Drink Powder - 1.6kg Tub Chocolate
Science in Sport Go Isotonic Gel 60ml - Box of 30 Lemon & Lime
Science In Sport Pro Issue 800 ml Yellow 800ml Bottle
    Science in Sport Protein Shaker

This model comes with wireless heart rate monitor and cadence sensor.

Your 10% code did not work but i found another that did, SAVE10PBK.

With that code i got everything for £181.76 inc free delivery. Must be over £80 worth of SIS stuff there!

If you want to get Garmin 1000 quickly I think Slane Cycles is the cheapest:

TBH if it's that close then support your favourite LBS and get it there at RRP. Almost any bike shop can get them as garmin is distributed by the same people who do shimano.

You get another 4% off with quidco @ PBK, so you're down to about £408.

Its easy to find posts on bad experiences so just like to say my order from post 3 arrived today, 3 days earlier than expected.
As the deal was so good i was expecting something to be wrong, i was very pleasantly surprised to find everything as ordered and even finding the 500 included a premium HRM strap not the basic one i was expecting.

And to top it all the free delivery arrived today after ordering on Bank holiday Sunday.

Easily the best deal on a 500!

Unfortunately he's right. Do not buy Garmin, anything but Garmin if you want to retain your sanity.
