    As one who enjoys both worlds, I can agree with many points there. Still, both are equally good.

    I ride both, and would have to agree with the points as well, thinking about it, i really only ride road because it takes less time, ie i dont have to ride or drive out to the forest or area so having limited time these days that is the deciding factor which i choose, the more time i have available the more likely it will be offroad.

    I would say most of those reasons are valid not laughable.

    I enjoy both but prefer mountain biking as it takes you deeper into the real countryside.

    There is no better feeling than coming flying down a trail that is nice and bouncy with mud covered everything while not on a cyclocross bike. They are fun, but they aren't the same.

    What's the point in comparing? They are both good they are both different. Personally I would road and MTB if I could afford it.

    I do both and enjoy them equally. Apart from both involving a bike of some sort, it's pointless trying to compare or say which is best - A lot like comparing apples to oranges.

    Anyway they're both better than running, which is arse.
