I was going to say that it is quite fun looking through the pictures on Facebook because you can watch them run together, and then NapD pulls a boss move and creates a gif. Well played!

Oh. Right. So it's not funny now?

No one has slated him for riding. It's still funny as f*** though.

:D That is the funniest thing I've seen in ages.

Then again same thing would probably happen to me if I tried to showboat like that

I did a 415 mile ride with over 27,000ft of climbing this weekend. Am I allowed to laugh? :P

Never realised sportives were so entertaining...I might give one a try, if this is the sort of thing that goes on.

    On second thoughts, maybe not.

Well done him. But I am not that fussed about the other 189 miles and 1756 yards, 1 day, 23 hours, 59 minutes and 54 seconds, or the remaining 10992 feet of climbing. That specific moment will always be his (and many of our and others) highlight. If I came across that chap I would gladly shake him by the hand, just for putting a little ray of sunshine into our (wonderful, average, awful, or anywhere along that spectrum) lives.

I was a bit worried by the first photo, seeing a face plant (I saw the aftermath of a nasty faceplant on Sunday's Castle Ride)

but when I saw the rest of the photos I had a good laugh!

In a way I'm surprised that there aren't more crashes like that at finish lines in pro races, considering how often they wave their arms at high speed.
