My wife and I own a half share in a cottage in the Yorkshire Dales.

On 04 Jul 14, a certain bike race featuring the cream of the world's top riders will fly past the front door of this very cottage. Honestly, it's that close to the road, I expect there to be samples of Sagan's DNA in the stonework once they've passed.

Several months ago, without telling me, my wife rented the very same cottage out to somebody who is not me.

Do I kill her?

If you were that bothered you'd have known about it more than several months ago. Take the money and buy something nice. Watch the tour with a beer on TV.

Hopefully its rented out to fans. You could offer to cancel, just in case they hate bikes and don't want the aggro of such an event on 'their' doorstep.

Did your wife know the tour was on and passing by? Pretty sure there would be a premium to be charged for a week's rental during that period.

Not a lot.....normal cost.....it's salt in an already gaping wound.
