Built this up with a mix of stuff from eBay, the classifieds and ridiculously cheap wiggle/ribble deals for the chainset, mechs, chain and shifters.

Maiden voyage tomorrow when rear brake cable is fitted. Position will be tweaked, I anticipate saddle raised a touch and tilted down a smidge. Bars rotated up a couple of degrees. Need to tape bars too.

14045363340_df4f0c1bf7_o.jpg

Frame/fork - Swiss 3k full CF. Won on eBay for a song.
Wheels- Wheelsmith 50mm with cx rays and pmp hubs, bought off here. Although I have a powertap G3 open pro that will be shod with some Raltech disc covers soon.
Bars- 3T Aura Pro bought off here
Group- Ultegra 6800 (DA 9000 shifters, Campag chorus cassette) all brand new from Wiggle/Ribble except cassette that I already had.
Brakes- Zero Gravity Ti - bought off here a couple of years ago.
Brake levers- 3T brand new
Peggles- Speedplay Zero - swap between bikes
Saddle- some effort off my old Quintana Roo from years ago.
Total build cost with the carbon wheels and including what I paid for the old stuff is under a grand
Weight is 8kg on the nose
Can't wait to try it out!

just a thought... when you fit the disc cover, do you still get signal from the PT hub?

Yeah, no problem at all. I used to have one on my old TT bike with an SL+ powertap.

Maiden voyage went well, rode it to Cyclestore to pick up a rear brake cable. It took numerous adjustments but once I got to the shop in Congleton I was pretty happy. Rode sweetspot home and this happened.

    Cheers :)

I'm made up with it! Gets it's maiden '10' on weds. My PB on the course is 22.49 but that's with full kit. I'll be happy with a 23.

    Frame/fork was 200 quid.

Nap, any verdict on the bike/frame after your first TT on it?

It seems pretty damn good really! Certainly stiff enough. I'm currently still trying to get my position dialled in.
It's 'old school' in that the gear cables are externally routed and no fancy hidden brakes etc. so it won't be the fastest frame out there by any stretch but for what I paid it's fine. I actually think it's a bit too big so may end up selling :(
That said due to the geometry being more like a road bike's it would make an excellent aero road frame...

Is it a large? Don't think I've ever seen one before.

Cheers, set an all time 5 min power PB on it last night dialling in position! Something's working right...
It's a 58cm too tube so generally considered an XL

Still getting position sorted on this. Managed a couple of hrs on it today with as much time in the TT position trying to get used to it.
I've ordered some disc covers from Raltech for my powertap wheel and pick up an ADR trispoke front tomorrow.
I'm at Adrian Timmis' next week for a fit. That'll confirm if the frame is wrong. If so it'll be up for sale for what I paid for it.

If you're struggling to get the position dialled it looks like the fork steerer maybe cut too short for you. The saddle to bars drop seems pretty big unless you're pretty flexy (I;m not anymore sadly!). Nice bike though.

Front end is fine, loads of scope for adjustmemt, not least I have some 6cm risers available for the bars. That said the bars are slammed, I just can't get the saddle forward enough, it's actually higher than that at the mo!

Made the 45 mile round trip to pick up my ADR tri spoke wheel today from the shop in Gatley. It was 'out for testing'. I hate being faffed about. Told them I'd leave it.

Yeah, I've been looking a fair bit. I'm going to wait and see what Ada says next week. I may end up getting a new frame!

    Update!

Had my bike fit with Ada, yeah the seat angle is slack but I'm fine on it. I feel super strong and planted on there now, and aero too.
Picked up a bargain eBay Hed 3 front tubular after being messed about by BikeHaus/ADR.
Got the Raltech carbon fibre disc covers for my powertap wheel today and fitted them. Will need a bit of tweaking as the cassette is fouling against the cover slightly. I'll try a very thin spacer but that may mean not enough room for the 12t sprocket.
Not ridden it in anger since the fit yet let alone with the tri spoke/disc. Can't wait to give it max QuadPower(Tm) :)

Sorted the fouling issue, added spacer and actually fitted the bl00dy thing properly! It actually sounds not far off a proper disc wheel. I'm very impressed.
Going to measure up and get a set for my track bike.

Very nice Nap. Any noticeable iperformance improvement with the covers and tri-spoke over your normal wheels?

Dunno yet, but based on what I used to have it'll be somewhat significant. Work has made me miss all the TTs this week.
