Well - they are no bloody good kept to yourself. Besides which, if you don't post them as distraction, Ai_1 and downhill paul will end up getting married at this rate.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

30lb  What was it? A TDF?
2012 Virtuoso that I paid £120 for. Put 2,000 miles on it. 1,400 of those in the last 7 weeks. It's done okay to be fair, a couple of 100 miles, lots of 60s etc, despite weird callouses where the 2300 shifters were on my thumb it's been comfortable and managed to bag a few top 10 Strava times.
Feels like a small car now when I move it after working on the CAAD this evening.0 -

That was my first road bike, not sure of the year.
did it really weigh 13.6kg? I never got mine on the scales.
I changed the tyres for michelin pro 3 race tyres and had the bars wrapped with an extra layer of padded bar tape, just to thicken the bars up a bit and to provide a bit more cushioning.0 -

Yeah. Just put it on there now after I weighed the CAAD. Was the LTD frame for the London Olympics. Only got it to see how I'd deal with a road bike (got a MTB last August to get back into an active lifestyle after a long lay-off). Caught the road bug well and truly and for the last few weeks have been averaging 200 miles a week, lost over 5 stone since the MTB so this was a reward to myself!0 -

Mine must have been a bit heavier as it was only a standard frame.0 -

Now for all my hard work, you can return the compliment by posting some pics of your OH dressed in lycra?

What is your obsession with photos of other peoples girlfriends wearing lycra?
do you not have a girlfriend of your own?
as for you only wearing knickers at the weekend, you are either a very strange man or a girl who goes commando 5 days a week.0 -

I wonder why my Roubaix never achieved that. That was my goal as well but I am off. I do not care but I am just curious. My aim was to buy carbon for the shock absorption but I thought by going full Ultegra I would manage to get in the 7 kg area.
Oh well.
I suppose as I said before I could have paid more attention to the wheelset but reliability in the messed up tarmac where I live was more important than weight.0 -

So I stepped up to the CAAD10 from a shitty bike as mentioned above - if this is considered race-y and the alu frame considered rough then goodness only knows what a Roubaix is like, must be like cycling a sofa! This thing is smooth as butter, same routes felt like freshly laid tarmac instead of the cobbles as usual!0 -
I've ridden a Roubaix, it felt like the bike was going to break in two when sprinting or climbing out of the saddle.0

@ carbonator and downhill paul.
You boys need to chill out.
