Can I use 28mm Tyres on my bike? I am thinking of having conti gator skins.

Thanks.

I have 25mm Grand Prix 4 Seasons on mine with quite a bit of clearance, but I understand other 25mm tyres are fatter. So not sure if you'd squeeze 28mm Gators in.

Almost certainly no. There's reports that 25mm fit, but only with the narrowest of clearnance, I would think 28mm would be no chance.

    25mm 4000s and there's f-all clearance.

Just to add to the no column. Michelin Pro race 25mm measured with a micrometer at 28 mm and they didn't fit. Pro race 23mm measured at 25mm and they fit but clearance was very tight. All on open pro rims with a 54cm Westbrook special cr1.
