Which bike should I take?

Alright, so I'm relatively new to road biking, although nevertheless, I can truly appreciate a good bike. I'm currently communing on my mountain bike, and would like a more solid replacement suited for smooth pavement of today's roads.
My budget is under $2000
I am currently looking and have test ridden 4 bikes, and these are:
* Merida Scultura 904 ($1700),
* Focus Cayo ($1900),
* Reid Falco Elite ($920),
*Cannondale Cad 10 ($1900)
Now, of these, according to my own personal preference based on what limited time I had test riding those, I'd rate them as follows:
1. Merida
2. Cannondale
3. Reid
4. Focus (I didn't like this one at all, although I had only ridden it for 10 minutes, so I could be wrong)
Now, my question to you here, as the more experienced riders, is what is a good choice? Should I get the Merida? Are there any other bikes in the similar price range that I should take a look at? I am yet to try Giant and Trek to see what they have to offer, but for now, I'm really liking the Scultura feel. Also, as an additional note, there is a Merida Scultura 905 for sale also, costing $1900. I have not tested that. Is it worth it to pay that extra bit more for it, or is there not much difference between the 2?
Thank you very much for your responses,

It sounds like you've already got in your mind that you'd rather have the Merida! If that was the one you liked best, that's the one you take. Out of interest, what did the $1900 version offer over the $1700 one?Rose X-Lite CRS 3100

With that kind of budget it's hard to buy a bad bike, so as long as you're sold the correct size and properly fitted, buy the one you like the look and feel of best.0

They seem to like this more http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/cate ... -14-48172/ and the OP doesn't like it, so i would take the reviews with a pinch of salt.
As per Keef says "With that kind of budget it's hard to buy a bad bike, so as long as you're sold the correct size and properly fitted, buy the one you like the look and feel of best."

Thanks guys! I see what you mean. Will probably make my mind up after testing a couple of more bikes, namely from Giant and Trek.
The Scultura 905 offers Ultegra components, whereas 904 has 105. I think that's it, though I'm not entirely sure.0
