I took up cycling in February after deciding that running was destroying my knees and caught the bug instantly and today completed my first 100 mile ride in around 6hr 20 min I'm really pleased i made the switch :D:D

I wish it was that flat at my end of Derbyshire! :) I did my first 50mile ride last month and that had 4600ft of climb according to Strava - so same climb in half the distance!! Where was your ride? 100miles is a good effort in any case, well done!! Still some way off for me I think!

It's not at all. Find somewhere a bit less hilly and if you can do 50 miles you can do 100.

Well done, is a good feeling, tidy time as well!
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
