Protecting frame

I am building a new bike and the frame has external rear brake cable routing so I want to stop the inner slapping on the frame.
On previous bought hybrid bikes there have either been small rubber doughnuts or a thin plastic tube providing this protection.
Any idea where I could get either of these?

Any large online retailer or your LBS.

    Heli tape the top tube.

Do the rest of the frame while you're at it ;)

That's what I've done with a bike before even when it had donuts, also easier to do than adding donuts after cabling is done.

The brake cables will have to be quite slack to get rattles I've found. Never needed the doughnuts.

I have ordered some heli tape - perhaps I need some more.
Is heli tape any protection against stone chips on the downtube and the underside of the bottom bracket?

Yep, forks, seatstays, seat-post tube and chainstays too. Go nuts (literally, it's a pain in the arse).
