Ordered the Ultimate CF SL 9.0 SL back in December, delivery estimated for mid April, can't wait. Just curious if anyone has received theirs as yet? Any other buyers?

There have been a few threads so far by people who have received Canyon CF SLs. One of them was the same model as you if I remember correctly. Don't have a link handy though.

Mine was due to be dispatched this week, just had the email to say it's been handed over to UPS and is on its way.

    Hurry up :)

It was me. Ordered around the same time as the OP, bike came 1 month early (last month). CF SL 9.0, fantastic bike!

Can I ask how long it took after you got the dispatch email? Need to plan my working from home day!

I have got the CF SL 9.0 ordered for week 22. Would be incredible to get it a month early but I am like Unlucky Alf from the Fast Show when it comes to such things so will no doubt turn up late. Have already got my new pedals though so can admire them in the mean time.

I ordered mine (CF SL 9.0 in grey) just over 2 weeks ago with an estimated week 21 delivery. I have had it now for just over a week! Many weeks early.

    Great bike though.

I'm waiting for a CF SL frame set in black ordered in mid Feb and expected on week 17 (I really hope). Has anyone got theirs already?

I'm expecting week 17 shipment too (CF SL 9.0 black/silver, size M, VCLS 2.0 post).
Ordered mid January. I'll let you know!

Well, I just got an e-mail telling me that they are currently preparing my order for dispatch within 48hrs!

Right on schedule. This is week 17 after all!
So if it ships Friday I should get it late next week I presume.

About 15mins after the first e-mail I got another saying it had been passed to UPS for delivery - tracking number provided. So it will presumably be delivered next week. I won't be around during the week so will have to wait til Friday 2nd to get it in my hands - unless it arrives by Saturday but I doubt that.

Ai, I had the same email and then the follow up straight away. That came on the Tuesday, bike arrived Friday.

Perhaps they hold off on the "in assembly" e-mail until it's actually assembled just in case of delays after last years issues.
    Do UPS operate Saturday? :D
We'll see. I can wait another week if I must!

I'll book a bike fit now. I'd like to check the size and components are right ASAP. Then I can be satisfied all is well and organise any stem or seatpost changes if needed....but hopefully I got my measurements and calculations right and it'll be correct as delivered.

I've not had a bike fit, I just set the seat post to the same height and off I went. Bike is brilliant, not sure what you currently ride but the wait will be worth it.

I got an e-mail on tuesday morning saying that the payment had been refused due to fraud prevention by my credit card company. Got onto the phone to my bank and got them to process it and then e-mailed canyon to let them know but not heard anything back from them since then. Bit annoying as i'm sure it would've been handed over to UPS if the payment had gone through. Will just have to hold on even longer!

My current bike's a Specialised Tricross Sport. Relatively heavy alloy frame with a 9 speed Tiagra triple. A semi-cyclocross bike really but works well as a road bike with a few modifications I've made over the past 3 years. Although the frame is a fraction too big for me. The Canyon will be a different animal entirely.
I some experience with other bikes but not much so the Canyon will be a new experience. I've ridden the Focus Cayo EVO and Ridley Orion as hire bikes on holiday and have test ridden a Storck Scenero I was considering buying last year. I expect and hope the Canyon will compare favourably with all of them! If it's as good or better than the Cayo EVO, as I hope it will be then I'll be happy!

I've been told that they are hoping to ship my frame this week, although they are experiencing delays due to the factory being closed for a few days for Easter. Come on Canyon, you can make it!

Mine too. Just like people said on forums. I think I'll go for a Cervelo R3.

    Delayed - Week 19 (w/c May 5th)

When was you original completion week? I am down for week 22 so now worried it will be pushed back too.

Increases my debate as to whether I take the mudguards off my future winter / commuting bike, or just continue to live with them until the new bike arrives.

Are they REALLY hard mudguards to put on/take off?

It is a pain not being sure when you'll get the bike. I'm fortunate that mine's shipping on time but until a couple of days ago I was in the same position as you not being sure if it would come next week or a month from now. For big purchases, when you've made a complex choice as to which bike you should get, it does take a bit of the enjoyment out of it when you're hanging around waiting for delivery. It gives you the chance to second guess your decision and consider changing it. In the long run I think that reduces your contentment with the purchase compared to a simple on the spot transaction, even if the product is superior. Having said that I still think I've bought the right bike and can't wait to try it!
The above is a problem with consumer choice in general not bikes or Canyon specifically. More choice isn't always better although it seems that it should be.

Week 16 was the original target been put back quite a few times now. I'm leaving the guards on my other bike but I use it for commuting now as well.

Unfortunately, it's not really possible to predict if and how long your delay might be by comparing to others. It seems to be specific to the exact frame and equipment you're getting. So a different size, paint scheme, groupset, seatpost, etc can all make the difference between early/on time and a significant delay.

True not hard, and will be cycling home from work tonight in forecasted heavy rain so will be glad for their presence today. So really it's the bikes use for commutting that is creating the issue. To be honest can just live with them, the extra weight will help with the training.

The thing that annoys me is the fact that they only inform you of a delay the week when its supposed to be shipped. You get an email from canyon on the week it's supposed to be shipping so you receive it expecting it to be containing your shipping details. Only then to open it and find that it's actual an email to say it's been delayed for a few weeks. They would've known a few weeks ago that there are delays so they should really inform you then. Ah well, not much you can do apart from wait!
