SPD-R vs Compatibility to New Road Shoes

I've been running my DMT Ultimax (carbon soles) for a good few years and recently brought an DMT upgrade online (DMT Ultra-Light) being told my current cleats would work.
The problem is my old SPD-R cleats are not compatible. I have raced for years on them and didn't really expect to upgrade pedals as well as shoes.
Does anyone know of SPD-R compatible shoes out there? Link to the pedals and cleats below for clarity.

I used to use SPD-R, but never really liked it and switched to SPD-SL. I'm surprised you can still get the cleats etc as I can't imagine there are many people still using it. I suspect when you said SPD-R they assumed you meant road and were thinking of SPD-SL.
I imagine few shoes, if any, are built to take SPD-R cleats nowadays- perhaps Shimano still make compatible shoes?0 -
I think you're going to struggle to be honest. Personally, I'd say that it is new pedal time...
You could try these, though:

Does the fact that you had to link to Retrobike not answer your question? They're an old solution, time to move on.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

I've got the same predicament, I'm using the ZS22r, not a bad shoe for the money all the new spiuk designs seem to be look style only.0
