Which of the energy and recovery drinks do people recommend?

One has electrolyte in - the other on is classed as recovery? I can't seem to tell if one is better used for what I would be doing...

I would use it while out on a ride - if it is a long ride then I will snack with nuts and bars as I go.

Their branding is pretty idiot-proof really.

'Go' range - energy products for when you're cycling
'Rego' range - post-ride recovery products

Their 'Go Energy' drink is basically a maltrodextrin-based carbohydrate drink and I've been using their 'Go Electrolyte' drink, which is exactly the same, but supplemented with electrolytes and it's been great. Their 'Rego Rapid Recovery' stuff is pretty good as well, I'd certainly recommend them.

I don't use the energy as I find it very sweet, personally I prefer torq

But there rego rapid recovery is excellant.

I would suggest that if you have not used it before buy small sachets to see if it suits you, 1.6 kg is a lot to have to dispose off.

Torq mandarin or mango/banana recovery makes a nice change.
    Hi-5 recovery\protein banana/vanilla bars likewise.

Sis banana energy bars are v nice, as even crunchy peanut butter Cliff Bars can get a bit boring after a while.

I like the SiS that says Torq on the side. The flavour is a lot more palatable. I can enjoy Torq whereas I have to tolerate SIS and hope it doesn't upset my stomach.

Torq always seems to taste pretty nice whereas some SIS stuff is a bit Meh IME.

Some SIS stuff is very very nice though :P

God knows which ones work best though....... probably the ones that taste poo

Mule bars do a 'Bombay Express' which is plain wrong IMO

Thanks for your answers. I wasn't particularly clear - but what I wanted to know was what the main difference was between the two 'go' products. One is classed as an energy one, and the other is with electrolytes. Are they meant for different things?
