Sore knees :(

Ok so I've done the Cheshire Cat today (medium) with new pedals and my kness are killing me!
I've never had this problem before! Does anyone know if it could be to do with the pedals or is it just those nasty hills?
Ps I've changed from cheap shimano m540 to the a600s which do seem to stick out abit more!
Any help much apreciated.

It may be you didn't warm up enough first, pushed yourself very hard or you need to adjust the setup of the new pedals.0

I've gone from old shoes and pedals to brand new ones before today and had issues like you describe.
I've found it to be down to wear in the ood cleats and pedals offering more float. You need to be a lot more accurate with the cleat set up of new shoes until they have some wear on them.0 -
The pedals are spds so not much adjustment to be done I don't think?
Could be a warm up issue but I don't usually warm up too much tbh
Thanks for the adviseCube agree pro 2013

If the only variable is the pedals then maybe too much or too little float has made the difference?
Were you running too high gears and grinding away? If not I'd guess a float issue.0 -
Did you put on new cleats? If so, could be that you have not set them up properly.0

The stack height of those pedals is different to one another. You should adjust the saddle height (we're probably talking 1-2mm) to take that into account. It is possibly enough to cause knee pains and is the only thing I can think of if you have changed nothing else (and were doing similar rides recently with no issues).0
