for the gopro users out there

any tips on how to stop it from moving due to vibes on the bars.i cant get it to stay in the one position,i.e it either droops forward so as looking into the ground or falling over to the one side and sometimes both ways.i've tighten the screws as tight as they can go and it still moves.

how do you keep them from moving?

What type of mount are you using? I use an alloy headset top-cap mount that's proven to be very stable so far, although it does need some serious tightening to stop it moving fore and aft - I think a plastic version would be better if available as the flex would help nip it up tighter.

the gopro bar mounts are IMO sub standard compared third party options - id recommend one from the k-edge range, there are cheaper alternatives to that now though but i have no experience with them.
  • If you're using GoPro brand mounts - stop - throw them away and but some K-Edge mounts.

Sure they seem overly expensive but you won't regret it. They're top quality and totally rock solid!

I bought the K-edge bar mount, after the standard go-pro bar mount fractured out its the first ride. Luckily I was moving my hand to the go-pro as the camera was starting to droop inexplicably - sort of "caught" the camera as it came away from the mount, otherwise it would have hit the deck at about 20mph.....

Only thing I'd say about any sort of bar mount, was a sort of "unimaginative" viewing-angle. Got the gopro just before commencing a London to Paris bike ride, so didn't really try it for long (although luckily a few prior rides, one of which where I discovered how crap the standard mount was!). Another guy on the event had the helmet mount, and initially I tight that footage would be naff - too much movement for the viewer (of the footage), inducing some sort of motion-sickness, but in reality his footage was pretty good - naturally as we rode through France and he was turning his head to take in the views, his camera captured it too.

Without question though, K-edge mounts are absolutely worth the money - have one for my Garmin Edge.
