Hi there folks,

I bought a set of HED wheels second last week, I don't know the model of these wheels. The reason I'm looking for the model is that I think they may need new bearings.

I was wondering would you know the model and year if I sent a few pictures of the wheels.

So if you can please find pics attached(the HED stickers are not the originals...so I'm told)

Many thanks

Looks like HED Jet 4 C2 wheels with their Sonic hubs - like these http://s321476941.online.de/hedgermany/wheels/jet4.asp

The rear hub seems to be #1 on the chart on this page : https://hedcycling.com/productcart/pc/v ... nPreview=1

I guess you'll need to contact HED for the bearing references, although there seem to be a lot on ebay.

    Technology at it's best.
  • Yes, HED jet... bearings are bearings... knock them out, measure them and order something equivalent from Simplybearings... no point in buying original replacements... just pricier, not better

Thanks, when you say knock them out....are they just sitting in there and a few knocks will get them out because I was thinking of doing it myself.

Depends on the hub... each hub is different... but if you've never done it, either leave it your LBS or have a look at a few videos on youtube

I will have a go at it this evening and if it's to difficult I will check out the videos and then the LBS.

    Cheers for all the help.
