Morning.

Convert Front Wheel 15mm to 9mm QR

Has anyone converted a through axel to a 9mm QR on a front wheel before? If you have can you recommend how/product/link?

The wheel is an Easton EA70 XC with a X2 Hub.

Many thanks for any help :-) :-) :D

you can get a 15-9mm axle converter from CRC made by nukeproof.

    TVM :-)
  • I have exactly the same problem, got a second set of EA 90 Xc's with the front set up as 15mm hub, unfortunately was not given the various end cap adjusters that do come with the wheels new to change them over, these wheels come with MI hubs.
I purchased the nukeproof converter axle from CR and got it yesterday, fits nice and snug, and fits fine between the forks of my Reba team forks, and as suggested by others, might just perhaps stiffen things up a bit better than having just the standard 5mm QR shaft running through the hub, the only downside I guess if that you are putting a small amount of weigh back into the wheel, over having it as a bog standard QR set up I guess.

Gunny, I've bought one also. Very snug fit. Not built the bike up yet but it looks the trick. Thanks all.
