    In terms of album I'm much too young to have a subjective view. As for album covers I feel that Pink Floyd's cover for Dark Side of the Moon is certainly the most recognisable, perhaps along with Nevermind. Whether they're the best or not is another matter.

    Dark Side takes some beating for sheer simplicity and impact. Especially as there is no naming of the band on it, and PF didn't promote it at all.

    Maybe 14 years in the top 200 albums helped.
