You can buy a day pass for £10 via NOW tv - but that seems silly.

Dunno if Steephill or Cycling Fans have it.

Cool, I'll check out cyclingfans, only problem I find with that is you always see who wins before you watch the race (I know it's about how they won rather than who but I'd still prefer not to know!)

    Dunno.

Something amiss with a sport if the fans rely on dodgy internet feeds to watch the races though....

Voeckler is racing TdU for the first time.

Apparently he's lost a lot of weigh.

Can't remember who tweeted that....but they used the word skeletal

Reckon he is a big favourite if he wants to race. At least game on for a stage.

To be fair, virtually all big races are on Eurosport, it's just unfortunate that Sky have a couple too. I will re-subscribe to them for the TDU, their meagre Spring Classics coverage, their RCS package stuff and what they deem worthy to show of the Swiss faces assuming they still have the rights, then cancel in June.

    Are we nearly there yet?

Need some racing to make this site tolerable again!

Hang on in there...pics of riders with koalas and snakes should be appearing in the next few days
  • No pics of snakes please! I'm terrified

Koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats all good. Tony Abbott and snakes not so good.
    Correlation is not causation.

Someone needs to post that pic from his Twitter feed last year of Arnaud Demare with unrepentent-face bitey Koala

Aren't Koalas notorious for being transmitters of Chlamydia?

    Be careful around Demare then:

Evidence that even bitey koalas recognise EBH as a superior being

I think they might. Remember that koala that was rescued from the bush fires a few years back by the firefighters, where it literally runs up to them and then drinks from their water bottle even though they're usually very shy - as evidenced above - while all the time looking like it's survived the Battle of the Somme?

Well she later died of chlamydia in a wildlife rescue place.

Yes. This came public knowledge when a koala p1ssed on One Direction.
They didn't catch it, but the koala is now the music critic for the Guardian.

Useful knowledge, sort of a 'contaminated beef' excuse for future rugby tours to Oz

A major disappointment and disgrace that Dayer Quintana now cannot race due to visa issues.

Real shame, was looking forward to seeing his debut alongside Nairo in Argentina

Visa issues are a major ongoing problem for Colombian riders. Klaus Bellon Gaitán wrote about it last year

That is terrible news. Really awful. Not even done one race and had only taken the metal out his collarbone a couple of weeks ago. Really hope he can recover mentally and physically fast. The racing will be poorer without him.

    Poor Tommy V :(
  • Ah rubbish, I was looking forward to Tommy mucking about and lighting things up. Hopefully it won't ruin his whole season.

Sure it wont. If you're going to have a break like this, now's probably as good a time as any. He usually likes to kick off his season with Tour Med and Haut Var, it'll probably rain on that particular parade.

A race is always more colourful with Voeckler in it. Hopefully he can recover quickly.
