Double to compact chain question

Hello all I'm just about to change my crankset from double to compact. Currently have 28t on rear. Will I need to remove any links? Or how will I know thanks

If the chain doesn't clear the upper jockey wheel in small/small you'll want to shorten it. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

Removed 2 links as deraillier was nearly flat out at rear. Can I heck set it up now though bah! Lbs required
