Far more bike than I can do justice to, but it makes me grin every time I get a little bit braver - it just soaks it all up.

Cameras can't reproduce fluoro colours as the eye perceives them. Fluorescent pigments work by knocking electrons out of orbit to convert UV light into visible light (if I remember rightly), and cameras can't reproduce that, so fluoro green will just look like Kawasaki lime green. It's the same reason fluorescent paints fade - they're unstable.0 -

Fish eye lens, worm's eye view, lol. I don't know much about Mondrakers, but they make some great looking bikes. Does the ride feel different with the forward geometry setup? The steering must be very direct?0

That's a still that I grabbed from some gorilla-pod mounted GoPro footage
Not sure that mines got the latest incarnation of their "forward geometry" setup, it's a 2012 model and has a normal 50mm direct-mount stem - not one of those where the bars are directly above the fork crowns.
The most noticeable thing about it is the 63 degree head-angle, it feels like a chopper when you're sat on flat ground but it makes steep stuff seem anything but!
The ride just feels superb, the rear suspension just soaks up everything that I can throw at it - badly timed landings, cases, clumsiness etc. - and I don't even notice that it's there. I just love the way that it picks up speed through rough stuff, it's only limit is my (too old) mind0 -

Wow, thats three terrible bikes. Did you pick them based purely on looks?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

If I could own any DH it would be Stevie Smith's prototype he rode at worlds this year
Being used to lighter bikes, the few times I've ridden full on DH rigs they seemed more of a hindrance than a help in some situations, so a shorter travel, lighter bike with DH geometry would probably suit me nicely.0 -

I'd like a go on something like that, just out of curiosity, but I can't even do my own bike justice, never mind a downhill tool.0 -
DH bikes take a bit of getting used to after riding a light trail bike. They feel sluggish and heavy but after a few rides it just all makes sense.
I want that Davinci Wilson as well.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
