HI

I bought a pair of castelli body fit bib and while they have been fantastic recently the stitching around the pad is coming away.

Any suggestions? im thinking of using the warranty on them, even though they 2012 "pro" pair i bought this year, i think they should last longer than a few months.

If this fails what can i do???

stuff fails, contact the retailer and go through the warranty process

aside from simple bad luck, bear in mind that damaged machine stitching can unravel easily, if the bit where the seam has failed is rubbing on the saddle clamp for instance then once a thread wears through it can all come undone very fast

check for any sign of rubbling/abrasion in the area, if there is any you may get the respone that it's due to wear and tear so no warranty

In my experience this is normal for Castelli stuff unfortunately. While it is very nice fitting and comfortable stuff, I find it really fragile. Assos can be had for similar prices and find it a lot more durable.
  • Any one know a place where I could get stitching repaired?

As I'm concerned wiggles warrenty process may be lacking...

Wiggle's warranty process is about as good as you will get. If something is not right after reasonable wear then try them for warranty.

Can I ask why you think it may be lacking?

i've also found wiggle good on warranty

but if wiggle say it's fair wear and tear so no warranty, just get a needle and thread and diy

  • I've also found Wiggle to be excellent when I've had contact with their customer services. Contacting them is definitely step 1.
  • Aren't the Pro marketed as race use only?

I think the advert said something like "don't wear these to go down the shops or go training with or they will fall apart"......
