Is it possible for worn peddle bearings to cause a wobble in the front end of the bike,
or is it more likely to be the shock bushings(bearing in mind it is not the wheel or head set)?

Neither I would have thought. PEDALS - would just feel horrible when you use them. Shock bushes you just get a bit of a clonk. A wobble at the front end suggests either loose q/r, wornhub bearings, worn fork stanchions or more likely loose headset?
  • headset has been greased and sorted+there is no play in the wheel when I move it side to side..
the forks are only 2 years old,how can I tell if this is the cause?

Stand next to bike, hold on front brake and rock backwards and forwards, use the other hand to put a finger across various joints to check for movement (headset, fork etc etc)
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • ok thanks for that, didnt notice any movement, only a very slight rattling sound,
but that could be something as simple as a cable catching,
got an idea the skewer might need replacing, might just try that for now.
