Looking for a new 32h rear hub

I'm looking for a replacement rear hub to go with a 32h Ambrosio Excellight rim I now have sitting around. The rim had been paired with a Tune Mag 180 hub before the drive side flange broke.
Having considered another high end lightweight hub as being too expensive and having read Ugo's blog on the lightweight Novatec hubs and their bearing life I'm tending to look away from any of the lightweight hubs in favour of something a bit weightier but substantially more reliable such as the Novatec F172 or Ultegra 6800. As a 90kg lump wanting a reliable wheel to cover 6-7,000 miles a year is my thinking correct on hub choices?
Also, any recommendations for a reputable wheel builder within a 30 mile radius of Northampton would be gratefully received. Cheers all.

I'd suggest Ultegra if you are happy servicing cup and cones, or Miche if you aren't, or you prefer the aesthetics. Try the Cycle Clinic for Miche.0

I have a 32h 6700 Ultegra hub spare if you want it?
It's about 2 years and 4000 miles old but has been serviced regularly and as recently as last month when the bearings were replaced and the cones found to be immaculate.
Wasn't really looking to sell it but it's yours for £50 posted (with skewer)Jake the Snake '06

Given that you're moving from Tune you obviously have a pretty good budget. Worth looking at would be DA (shaves about 120g off Ultegra and ups the quality a bit), Royce and White Industries (without moving to people like Alchemy which, while very well made will be harder to service and replace parts for).
Personally I'd go Shimano or Royce.0 -

Thanks for the replies so far.
@racingcondor, the wheels were a present but I'm loathed to spend my own money on high end stuff when the Tune rear hub proved so problematic. It creaked on every revolution for the first 1,000 miles, an issue that was meant to have been resolved from earlier models, and I only got one year's use from them in 2011 as the wheels sat in my office throughout 2012. When I fitted the wheel to my bike in March this year the flange broke off before I'd had a chance to sit on the bike - the hub cried 'no more!' and chose to commit suicide than have me sit on it again.0 -
Miche Primato is a good quality budget option. Check out Bike Ambulance in Cambridge. Andy Kelly is your man. Also worth checking the Cycleclinic who builds a lot with the Primato and has a very comprehensive Ebay shop where you can buy hubs or complete wheels.0

Hope Tech ... although some people find the freewheel a bit noisy.

Personally I like the noise - it reminds me to pedal :-)Simon0 -
There are many options for you I'd say. Personally I like Hope Pro3's but the noise isn't to everyone's taste, you couldn't possibly go wrong with DA assuming you run shimano (titanium freehub too). Miche/Ultegra are cheaper heavier but no less reliable options. Novatec also do some reliable heavier models which I can't remember the numbers for and they will almost certainly be the cheapest.Look 566 viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12892775&p=18015091#p18015091

that's a 36h buddy.
Asking price reflected the willingness to sell as indicated in the post but thanks for your help.Jake the Snake '06
