Hi all looking for a new bottom bracket to fit my trek 2.1 which is part 105, tiagra and not sure of chain set, the bb is external and I'm looking to replace with either an ultegra sm bb60, or the dura ace 9000, there,s £10 cost difference between the two and the only difference I can make out is the dura ace is 14g lighter I think :?: I've read that the dura ace wears out quicker then the ultegra but these reviews are from previous generations, so not sure if that's changed. I don't competitivly race just commute, so if the only difference is in weight I, for my needs, don't see the value in spending more just to save a few grams, but if the dura ace is stiffer & better power transfer then I'd be happier to pay a bit more. What do you reckon :?: Thanks Andy

I run both Dura ace is better but I can honestly say it's not worth the difference unless your at the top of the game or you have lots of spare cash. I am talking about the whole groupset bb is not here or there so pick whichever you fancy you can lose the weight difference by cutting out a biscuit0
