Evening
Looking for some advice on these 2 bikes I'm waiting for my CTW voucher to come through, I have looked at a good number of bikes and narrowed it down to these 2 I have to buy through Evans cycles
I have tested both bike and I can seem to tell much difference between them,
My main question is which has the better components and wheels for the money as I'm not really uptodate on what's best
trek

Scott

Thanks in advance

What did you go for in the end?
I'm having the same dilemma and have narrowed it down to these plus the Cannondale CAAD 8 105.0 -
go for the one whose paint job you like best! looks are important.0

I used to have a Trek 2.1 Madone and now I have a Scott CR1.
Both are good bikes but the Scott isn't available until the middle of November?
Keep in mind too that the Scott is running bottom gear of 34/25 where the Trek 34/30. That would make a big difference on the hills.0 -

Unless you really can't decide which to go for I wouldn't let that affect your purchasing decision. Fitting a bigger cassette is a cheap / quick fix (although you'd probably also need a longer chain)
If they feel the same on a test ride, go for the one you most like the look of.0 -
decision made...................
and the winner is PLANET X PRO CARBON SRAM RIVAL (force rear)
Had a test on this the other week, and IMO rode better than both the trek and scott plus better gear as standard. lighter more responsive. Im not a pro so don't put enough power through it to worry about flex, quality of paint finish look just as good as the others. just seem much better value for money in the end. should have it by the end of the month.
cant wait to put some miles on her0 -
Great choice! Enjoy it when it arrives.0

That's a really nice looking bike.
Unfortunately I have to buy a bike from Evans on my company bike to work scheme so I'm stuck with whatever they offer0 -

Better than the £500 limit at Halfords we have.........
Dodged that and bought a bike on interest free credit in the sales0 -

My work force us to do the Evans scheme. We're not allowed to use any other.0

I also fancy a Planet X but they don't accept TFL's Halford CTW vouchers.0
