Keep an eye out for Marcin Bialoblocki (UK Youth) as a bit of an outsider, did my club's 10 in 18:34 a few weeks back (with 456 watts!). Not saying he'll beat the likes of Wiggo and Dowsett but if he's in good form he should be up there.
  • 18.34. That is ridiculously fast. Another Pole killing.

  • I can't deny it will be interesting how quickly some of the pro's can ride a "10".

I am surprised though at the distance, I wouldn't have thought it would be worth including a TT of <25km in a tour type event?
  • Weather looks miserable again
  • He rides a P5.

That would be great if he beat Wiggins.

there's no way a pro cyclist could lift those free weights

Maybe they wanted to keep the gaps small to reduce the chances that the GC was decided on a TT.

Anyone know what's going on with the coverage on Eurosport today? I've got the Sky player up at work to see what time it starts but it's saying "Live" cycling is on now, which is yesterdays stage and the later programs are still showing as stage 2?

Are they doing their weird "Not going to show it for a few days so you find out the result on facebook/bike radar homepage thing or is the player up the spout?
  • I would imagine it's the same as ITV's Paul, highlights for an hour 11:30 -> 12:30 and then live coverage of todays TT from 12:30 onwards
  • Its live on Eurosport from 12:30 http://tv.eurosport.co.uk/tvschedule.shtml, same as ITV4
  • Can't imagine a Pro being unable to break 22 mins for a 10 miler.....

10 miler - enough to cause a splits in the GC, not enough for the likes of Wiggo to ruin the GC.

If the weather is crap though expect Wiggo to take it easy. He's already had one off in the wet this week already and his main priority has to be making it to the WC in one piece. If it stays stupidly wet my money would be on Dowsett.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
  • If I'm still doing it next year, this race may be upgraded to PTP status.

    So there...

  • Can someone explain to Quigley that being a fast TP'er does not automatically translate into a fast 10

    Oh..Big Maggy's done that
  • Can't imagine a Pro being unable to break 22 mins for a 10 miler.....

May need to revise this.....conditions must be tough.

Brian Smith just did exactly this to Hughie.

    ITV4's adverts are SOooooooooooooooo depressing.
