    There are some big issues to address in women's cycling before a women's tour is launched. Getting rid of Pat McQuaid from the UCI would be a start.

    Cracking down on cheating would be another step forward. At the back of the races too many mediocre riders are allowed to literally hang on to vehicles for significant distances in order to regroup. The problem is that the ones at the front are in a different league and should be in a different race.
