Just wondering if anyone has tried the above tyres, if so how did they do in terms of ride and wear.
Thanks

Most Corsas wear very quickly.
Ride lovely.
Hope this helps.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
+1, beautiful ride, quite fast wearing. just changed CX rear after 1400 miles to SC version, which seems great so far and looks nicer than the CX with similarly plush ride. Never punctured. Front will probably last a little over 2000 miles in total I reckon.0

PS I should add a note of caution, Vittoria's - certainly the corsa -are difficult if not impossible to repair yourself due to their construction.
Like I say, I've not had to, as no punctures so far, and I carry a can of Pit Stop sealant with me, otherwise if you puncture a new corsa terminally it would probably have to be sent away for repair..0 -
Thanks for the replies, any recommendations as to something that would fall in the middle between comfort and wear or shall I just go for comfort and accept they will need changing in 1.5k or so.0

That's not true at all... if you've never tried, what are you basing your statement on? in fact Vittoria are among the few tubulars left on the market that can be repaired. I have repaired two CX and I am not very good at repairing tubs... so anyone who has a bit of patience and inclination can do itleft the forum March 20230 -
What's the difference in CX and SC? Can't really find one on their website? (Apart from the brown sidewalls, yuck!)0

Trust me, the yellow gumwalls look great on the SC classic. Difference in tread, allegedly different performance for wet weather, but not ridden both in wet. Diamond pattern on cx, directional Tyre, straight lines on central band of the SC, non directional.
@UGO, regarding repairability, it's something I've heard, .and it makes sense as they are stitched and sewn up as one piece.
I'm sure there are people who can repair them, I just wouldn't be confident to repair myself
You can post off to people who provide a tub repair service or just send to Ugo, perhaps, if he wants the business!.0 -
I suspect the repairability issue is due to the anti fungal treatment (apparently there's a waxy stuff that can come off when you remove the tub, it's that). Plenty of people on Weight Weenies seem to complain about it making things harder but if I decide to repair my own I'll be using new base tape so can't see why it would be that much of a problem, as Ugo sais, otherwise they're traditional sew ups. Got to be easier than a Conti.0

I have no desire to enter the tubular repair market.
Indeed, there is a waxy substance on top of the tape, which makes it a bit more difficult to remove, but there is nothing unusual otherwise... you need some latex tube to repair the inner and that's about itleft the forum March 20230 -
Ok so I stand corrected, I think the only difference is that the latex in vittoria tyres will require a particular solution and spare latex tube section to patch, and apparently the base tape is a little harder to separate than some other brands.
So it's separate base tape, unstitch, glue and patch, re-sew then re-attach base tape.
(think I might send away for repair anyway, TBH!)
Anyway, get the vittorias, they're great!0
