Hi All,
Something odd last night. Due to an unfortunate snapping of a spoke on my hope rear wheel I had to remove the cassette to put it back on my old fulcram 7. On removing the cassette from the hope, the whole freehub body came off. Is this normal? (it doesn't seem that way to me)
I re-attached it by hand, but didn't have the time to look at how to fix it back on properly. Whilst doing so I noticed how tight the freewheel is compared to the fulcram, the fulcrum would spin nicely whereas the hope seems to stop very quickly. Thoughts?
Thanks

A tight freehub could be due to lack of lube, bad bearings, or something rubbing where it shouldn't.
If there isn't obvious binding or rubbing (or excessive looseness), then it might just be minor brand-to-brand or item-to-item differences.
