I'm not sure what these are officially called.
Can anyone recommend one of those plastic overcoats I've heard called pack-a-macs which you pull on over your jersey which are just to keep you dry, not warm, and when it's not in use can be rolled up and stored in a jersey pocket?
I've got one from Aldi but it's like a parachute at speed! I've searched but all I get is proper waterproof jackets which is not what I'm after.

oh and i also think castelli do one, but cant remember the name. The showers pass one can be bought from Always riding online i think a few other stockists around too.0 -
Rain cape is another name.
Everyone makes them. Sportful do the Hot Pack that always gets a good review.
I'm happy with my cheapo Aldi. It only gets used so infrequently anyway - if its wet when I go out I'd be wearing a heavier jacket.0 -
Like this?
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/castelli-sottil ... in-jacket/ - although I've got the gillet version and it's not very waterproof. I bought one of the Rapha rain jackets when they were on sale and it's been very good so far.

It's only for when you go out on a summers day for a long ride but the sky is a bit threatening. A few times the Aldi jacket has come in really handy when I pull it on when it starts to rain and take it off again 10 minutes later. However as I say it flaps about like crazy.0 -
As others have said there are loads out there but I have a Madison Stratos jacket.
It has a close fitting cut and I'm surprised it survived a spectacular high speed crash relatively unscathed - even though my collarbone didn't. The only thing is it gets sweaty after a while, but then all the brands I have tried do.Reporter: "What's your prediction for the fight?"
