Sorry for what is probably a mundane thread but I am looking to upgrade my Claud Butler San Remo for something a bit better. I am not in the position right now to spend a lot so a full carbon is out of the question but carbon forks is do-able.
So... out of these two (at the moment), which would you say is better?
Cannondale Synapse Sora 2011 - standard other than new Sora paddle shifters
or
Felt F85
OR
save money and get something better...
Thanks

IMHO I think if you buy one of these two now you will want to go to a full carbon in the not too distant future, it just seems to happen that way. So save your money for now until you can get something you are really happy with, that's my opinion others may differ.0

Yeah thought might my first bit of advice. Be good to hear what people think of the cannondale as I think the felt f85 has been sold now0

Just to give you something to think about......... Assuming you have the cash the Felt is about £650??, Planet X are doing a full Carbon with ultegra for £999. http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/CBP ... _road_bike
Not that I'd encourage you to spend more than you have but I'd guess this would be much better, for not much more? Also, are you able to take advantage of a cycle to work scheme? Planet X do the cyclescheme.co.uk method.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

bugger. You've got me thinking about buying new and looking at the finance options. tredz also offer 0% and have a tonne of bike on there but people tend to rave about PlanetX so will look there too. Ideally wanted to spend no more than £700 but can see that possibly changing!0
