I cannot wait no longer life is two short. I am going to buy the Genesis Equilibrium 20. Found it new for £1040 notes instead of most places retailing at £1299. Trouble is what frame size. I am 5'9" so do i need a 54cm or 56cm or as i already have a 53cm Cube Peleton Race perhaps i could get away with a 52cm? Any Genesis Equilibrium riders out there please let me know your thoughts :?:

    Your Cube has:

    Effective Top Tube 535mm
    Seat Tube Angle 74deg
    Head Tube 145mm

    Genesis 54 has:
    Effective Top Tube 545mm
    Seat Tube Angle 74deg
    Head Tube 140mm

    Genesis 52 has:
    Effective Top Tube 538mm
    Seat Tube Angle 74deg
    Head Tube 132mm

...so the 54 should work with 10mm shorter stem, and 53 would work out the fine with about 3mm difference, but will require more Headtube spacers... BUT, at 5ft 9, I would question if your Cube is the right Size for you, I would have thought it's almost certainly a bit small really, and that you should really be on a 56cm cube. That's my gut reaction.

Looking at it one other way, the 52 is designed for midgets, you are not one and the 56 is too big for sure (bigger even than a 56 cube), so 54 is bound to be right I would think :)

PS. "I cannot wait no longer life is two short" is a brilliant sentence to manage to get too things wrong with it :)

"to get too things wrong with it"

....with which to get TWO things wrong?

    Just a thought!

Ho ho. I saw what you did. Not sure that your pedantry was that funny, except when you ended it with a preposition!
