Good afternoon folks, newbie to the forums here. Although not to cycling I may add, I'm a long time mtb'r turned recent roadie convert :D

I'm (sort) of in the market for a a new bike - upgrading from a recently purchased Cannondale CAAD8 - but wished I'd gone carbon. Anyway, my CAAD8 was in for its first service at my LBS on Friday and with an hour to kill I did the wrong thing - went looking at carbon bikes. After a good look around and a chat with a member of staff, it turned out the shop (no names) would be selling of their team race bikes in a few weeks time. To cut a long story short, I've put a deposit on one of these bikes - a Supersix Evo, which will come fitted with a brand new Sram Red groupset and Mavic Ksyrium SLR Wheels. The bike has a scratch on the top tube paintwork which the shop is prepared to have fixed. Price for bike £2000.

I'm obviously going to give the bike a good check over before I part wth the remainder of my cash. However, my question is, has anyone on the forums bought an ex- shop team bike and if so did you have any problems or advice on what to look out for. Finally, would or wouldn't you do the same thing again?

Cheers.

Looks like a pretty good deal but are you aware the new evos are going to replace the supersix and are coming down in price to what the supersixes were priced at ?
