Shimano 105 5700 Cassette 10 speed help!!!

I removed & cleaned my cassette, but i stupidly didn't take note of where a smallish silver ring came from.

Anyone have any ideas where it goes? Thanks in advance.

    Is it unnotched? i.e will fit on in any orientation?

    That'll be the 1mm spacer, that goes onto the hub first, nearest the wheel.

    and if its not that(i.e it is recessed for the splines), then look and see if the cogs are evenly spaced and whack it in the gap that is too narrow!
