Looking at rose bikes around £1500 and seen 2 Alu frames one has campagnolo athena and the other has sram force 2.2,sram is £130 dearer, never used either as only had shimano, sram i believe has a double tap, sounds confusing ??which is best for value.
Also they do similar in carbon frames but weight of frames not much difference....any advice, alu frames have the better colour choice and similar spec to carbon frames but there is minimal weight difference between the 2.
Any expert advice as what type of frames and what groupset would be best. :? :? :? :?:

Suggest you try riding both materials before making a decision - heavier riders are less likely to have a problem with alloy, whilst lighter riders might find it a touch harsh as the frame has to be overbuilt to compensate for poor fatigue resistance.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Make sure it has at least 18, don't bother with a single speed.
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

Both groupsets are great really. Double tap on Sram isn't confusing at all once you ride it and works brilliantly, so don't let that put you off. Sram might be a touch lighter, Sram is probably costing a bit more as the new 22 version has only just come out.

Best keep it simple if double tap confuses you.
