After having had my waterproof stolen the other week, I'm in the market for something new and am looking at the DHB EQ2.5. Would appreciate some advice from people who already have one with regards to:

Fit - I've heard they come up a bit on the small side, is this true in your experience? As ever, I seem to sit right between two sizes  . How close is the fit? I'm after something semi form-fit (so snug but not skin tight) FWIW, I'm 6', 37" chest, 31" waist. I would do the usual 'buy two sizes and return one', but the finances won't allow for that right now  .

Cut - Is there much of a drop at the back? I'm intending to use this for my commute, the occaisional hiking trip and as a casual jacket when the weather is a bit shitty, so don't really want something that is going to look out of place off the bike.

Thanks for any help!

  • Hi. I have one of these and I am normally a medium. I bought large and it fits fine. In my experience with DHB they often come up tight.
  • I ordered one size larger than normal in this jacket. Although it was then fine for width, it was way too long in the arm and just slightly short in the body. It had a good drop in the tail, compared to the front, but still not quite long enough. I sent it back to Wiggle. Bought an Altura Reflex Ergofit instead.
How did you get your waterproof stolen? Snatched off your back in really technical drive-by? :D

Cheers for the feedback. Being slightly short of torso and long of arm, sounds like it should fit me quite well!

 If that were the case, I would be more impressed than annoyed! Was wearing it on a night out, left it in the corner of a bar where we were sitting (as everone does - no cloakroom). Never heard of any problems with thefts from this place before and done the same thing a dozen times previously, but just unlucky this time. Someone walked off with my jacket when we were all up dancing :x . Only left the damn thing unattended for about 5 minutes!
  • Probably not a bad fit then. I would say that I am the other way round - 6ft tall with a 29" inside leg - I know that's height/legs and not torso/arms, but you get the idea. Let us know how you get on.
Another point is that you pay for returns to Wiggle if you have ordered the wrong size. I could have tried arguing the point, but just paid the postage instead.
That explains where the old jacket went. If it had been more breathable you could have worn it while dancing. The disco lights would have picked out the reflectives just great.

Will do. Aside from the fit not being right for you, what did you think of the jacket?
