I agreed a sale with jam1e on a Scott frame and forks having been in contact with him since 25th July, he is poor with communication telling you he will be back with a decision and never doing so. After several chased pm's a sale was agreed on 7 th August and having sent the money by PayPal was contacted several hours later to say he had now sold the frame to another party. The next day I am still waiting my money returned. AVOID this is not how we operate on this forum, trust in other members is what makes it work so well!!!

    Slightly less hysterically...

He offered a very low price within the first couple of days, I said I'd get back to him with a decision but forgot, my mistake.

He reminded me a few days later and over the course of a couple of days we agreed a price.

After agreeing a price he then said he couldn't pay right away, could I hold on to it until he had the money etc.

He also wanted the postage to be delayed for over a week.

I ageed to this and a few days later he paid for the frame.

After receiving confirmation of the payment yesterday evening I then noticed that somebody who I thought was no longer interested had already paid for the frame and I hadn't received paypal confirmation for whatever reason.

I immediately contacted brimmers to explain the situation and to let him know he would be receiving a refund today.

The refund lefty my PayPal, including his admin fees and was with him approx 12hrs after I noticed the double payment.

Ironically I've actually sold it for less than brimmers and myself agreed because I decided to do the right thing and honour the deal with the original buyer.

As I explained to him via pm this was an honest mistake rectified asap.

To others viewing the post above, I can only say that I bought the wheels from Jam1e in the same for road parts for sale post as the frame was advertised, and the transaction was completed without a hitch. Jam1e's communication was excellent, and the wheels arrived better packed than from any retail store, only a few days after I had paid for them.

I would have no hesitation in dealing with Jam1e in the future.

I have also dealt with Jamie, I bought a Santa Cruz frame off him last year, and would not hesitate to deal with him again, all arrived as described and I am very happy.

I don't know Jamie personally, nor am I involved with the transaction in dispute.

I bought a groupset off him recently. Good price and he sent it quickly with all as expected, so a plus from me.

I'm the other party involved in said frame transaction. I can only apologise to Brimmers, I was not aware of the situation. In Jamie's defence his communication was prompt and courteous at all times and the frame - immaculate, as described in the ad - arrived the day after posting buried in oodles of packaging.
