Eddie Merckx Frame Advice Amx-1

Hi all,
I am looking to buy a Eddie Merckx Frame Advice Amx-1 I have heard the frames are big,
I currently back in the UK have a Trek 1.5 in size 56cm frame.
my height is 5'10
So was confused, because reading the size guides online, my trek size and my height would put me between a 48 and 51 cm Merckx bike... sadly I am working out in Switzerland and cannot try one of the bikes for size.
Any advice greatly appreciated
