Worth a wheel upgrade?

hi all,
thinking of swapping the wheelset on my Sensa Romagna as I have a serious case of the upgrade bug, and cant be forking out for a new bike until next year.
The bike came with the stock Supra RA Comp wheel set. The wheels are based on Shimano Sora hubs; although there is nothing wrong with these (aesthetically or performance wise) I'm wondering if there would be much sense in swapping these for a nice set of Mavic Cosmics or something similar.
would there be much benefit in doing this?
My thinking is the wheels could then be transfered over to a new bike in future.

thanks - was considering the Cosmic Elites, and not the SLR range.
I was just wondering if anyone had a view on if it was worth upgrading the wheelset at all, be that with handbuilts or factory made wheels or just leave as is and save the pennies for the full upgrade (to the next bike!)0 -
For £149.99 Delivered you could get some Planet X Model B V2's. They weigh 1650g a set. Plus they are fully servicable and rebuildable. Your current wheelset weighs 2090g. Thats quite weighty. So they would be a massive improvment in speed and acceleration.

The new V2.0's have an improved freehub i was told by px.
1650g a pair (without skewers)
20h front
24h rear
Kinlin XR-270 rims - 27mm deep
Novatech hubs
Bladed spokes
Alloy nipples
8,9 and 10 speed compatible
Sealed cartridge bearings
Use regular j-bend spokes
Rim tape & skewers included0 -
But they do not say Mavic on them :-)Yellow is the new Black.0

Are those the Novatech hubs that disintegrate when coming into contact with water?I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

thanks for the reply - exactly the sort of advice I was hoping to get.
I'm not too concerned about what make the wheels are, but was offered a pair of mavics for just under £200, and that's why I quoted those.
it's an improvement to how the bike performs/feels I'm after really / aesthetics are secondary (but still important).
Will look into the PX wheels.
thanks again!0 -

I have Novatech hubs that have done 2000 miles in all weathers and even got totally submerged on a flooded road one particularly nasty day.
Not a single murmer from them and still as smooth as butter.Yellow is the new Black.0
