Looking at a new road bike...

How do we rate this, I have always wanted a Bianchi but here different things....

I have priced it with Mavic Askiums and its in my budget...

Would love to here views

great looking bikes.
i looked at one for my first ike, they are a good stable buy with good value resale. never used campag so unable to comment, if its from lbs then that adds alot more, that backing and fitting are worth loads. always look at this brand as one to raise the eyebrows. looks good value in my opinion. if your looking at doing miles then fit is major

Have Campag on my current bike and love it. Only changing as it does not fit me and I get knee ache, so bike fit will be purchased and Epic are giving a bike fit....

sounds like you just need the right fit. a good few people might say that looks are unimportant, to me they are very important. if you like the look of your bike your prob gonna want to ride it more, that can only be a good thing. feeling good about spending alot of money means alot, step back and look at your purchase? you need to like what your looking at. ( if your pro then i guess no! performence is the be all, on top of that most pro riders do not pay for there bikes. but most of us do this for fun yeh?) go get the bike that fits, looks nice to you and has good spec, good backup, and retain value if possible. the more you look and think "i want to ride, the better" ( my opinion is your choice looks/reads great)

I used to have a Via Nirone, albeit a lower spec with Xenon but they're a decent bike, the stock wheels are a bit weighty so changing them for Askiums as you are should save a bit of weight and make it a better ride. I've got Veloce on the bike that replaced the Bianchi and its a decent reliable groupset that you can't go wrong with if you like the shifting method. You probably could get a better bike for the money as with Bianchi like many brands you pay for the name but on the whole it looks a decent bike for the price, especially as my lbs has the Xenon version for the same price. With Epic Cycles you get a decent bike fit and proper bike test as opposed to round the car park as well.
