2 x 10 Coversion (Trek Remedy)

I'm going 2 x 10 on my Trek Remedy 9 frame, looking at it I might have problems dropping the front mech low enough for the 36T front ring, it may just foul on the suspension linkage. Would I be ok losing the 2.5mm BB spacer and running a e-mount mech, or is the 2x10 FD shallower than the 3x10 currently fitted (all SLX top swing top pull)
