Maintenance stands

Hi,
Does anyone have any advice about buying cycle stands - the ones on Wilggle I am interested in are in the £80-£130 price bracket but they all seem very different and all have good reviews? I have a road bike and a commuter/hybrid but I guess the stand would be primarily for the road bike. I'm about 1.87m tall so don't want anything too small and would look to do anything from just cleaning the bike to re-indexing the gears and maybe some parts replacement as I get a bit more familiar with the mechanics.
Any experience/tips/gotchas greatly received.
Thanks
S

Many places sell this under a different brand. Had it about 2 years and has been great, see no need to 'upgrade it'.

I am very pleased with this one- securely holds my aluminium bikes by toptube and roadbike by seatpost- easy to adjust between the two.

probably the same one as above, looks exactly like the one ipete mentioned.0 -
I've this one - I got mine from Lidl or Aldi I think. Seems to do the job.

Got one of these a couple of weeks ago from aldi but had 5 legs instead of 4. Was in lidi over the weekend and they still had some of the stands from the above link reduced to 29 euro. They are great value and well made, i even managed to index my gears0 -
I bought the FOLDING LEG LOCKING TILT STAND for £38.75+p&p here a few months ago:

Really happy with it, I put the claw on incorrectly and broke it at first (complete dumb ass user error) and the guy sent me out a spare for just the price of sending it out.Scott CR1 Pro

Thanks all, most of the above options are cheaper than I have been looking at - so you may well have saved me a few bob!0

I have this stand... although don't think it was from Merlin C. I seem to remember getting it from Ribble.
Anyway, it does the trick and very happy with it. Take a look in the usual places and see if you can find one on offer.Simon0
