Hi,
Trying to set up my SID solo air RCT3 damper and bit clearer after reading this
http://www.bikerumor.com/2010/08/20/tech-article-how-rockshox-motion-control-works/
Do I just set the LS Comp at a starting point (one site recommended 5 clicks of max) and then do i just take it over a few bumps and see how hard it is to get to the blow off threshold and adjust? and would more LS Comp make it harder or easier to get the threshold?
Also seem to get some bobbing when using the 'open' setting?
...still none the wiser about what 'plush' feels like :?
As far as the rest of the shock goes I put it into open and set the sag at 30% and i saw on a guide that i should set rebound to fastest and press down on the shock while off the bike and keep turning it down till the wheel doesnt bounce off the ground (correct?).

The LSC only really is noticable in the Open setting. The others provide a platform - Pedal (with an easier break away), Lock, with a firm breakaway.
The guide you link to is a very different system, you do not have infitinitely adjustable threshold.0 -

any tips for tuning the LSC?

In the open setting you can use it to resist brake dive, g outs in corners and pedal induced bobbing. The threshold settings offer a more distinct 'platform' to how it feels.
Set halfway and see how it feels. is experimentation really.0 -

....simple as + for firmer and opposite for softer?

thanks...... and just because that's confused my understanding of the forks I still should be using the middle 'platform' setting for trails/small lifts and the 'open' for descents/jumps?

Basically for most riding I would leave in the open setting. For more pedally bits, maybe use the middle setting, and if you really must have it locked, then the lock.0

Climbs and the like.
Just experiment with it, is no rigth or wrong - if there was, there would be no adjusters lol.0 -

thanks, I get that it's allot of personal adjustment - just trying to get a bit of knowledge in order to make sense of my button turning to find it lol.... my last fork was on, off and rebound
